Row of 3 cottages, C18, originally 4 in 2 builds, altered, now 3
dwellings. Coursed sandstone rubble, stone slate roof ridged on
2 levels with a square chimney in front of the higher ridge and a
smaller chimney on the lower ridge. Left half of row 2 bays double-pile
plan (remodelled with enlargement to rear), right half 2 bays single-pile
plan. Two storeys; left half has 1st floor band, a doorway at each end,
right half has one door at the right end and a blocked doorway to the left
bay, each half has two 3-light casements on each floor, probably replacing
flush mullioned windows. Listed for group value with Brandwood Fold
Farmhouse (q.v.)
