ASHOVER SK36SE DALE BANK LANE 1264-0/8/41 (East side) 26/09/77 Dale Cottage Farmhouse (Formerly Listed as: DALE BANK LANE, Milltown Dale Cottage Farmhouse) II Farmhouse. Late C18, with an earlier range now attached, and with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble gritstone with ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with plain kneelers, ashlar gable stacks, and a Welsh slate roof. Irregular plan, with main range, and attached range at a splayed angle at the west end. South elevation of main range of 2 storeys and 3 bays and a central doorway with plain surround and head, and 6- panel door with two upper panels glazed. Flanking the doorway are 2-light flush mullioned windows, with metal frames and lozenge leaded lights. Linked range to rear abuts offshut to west end of main range. Stonework to link range and quoining less regular than that of main range. 2-light flush mullioned window to north-east gable end of linked range, and C19 glazing bar sash below to ground floor.
