SO 79 NE SP/100 Rowley Farm Malthouse

Malthouse. Late C16 or early C17. sandstone ashlar timber frame with brick infill,
brick tile and corrugated sheet roof. Two storeys and attic over a cellar. Timber
frame gabled wings to either side of main stone range. The stone range has a chamfered offset
North gable wall with regular fenestration of two three-light stone mullioned
windows with chamfered reveals to each floor. The gable is rendered and has plain
bargeboards. The two bay west wing has stone ground floor walls with square panel
timber framing to first floor and gable; jeweled corner posts, a cambered tie beam
and arched collar exposed in the gable wall. The south extension contains a staircase.
