SU 20 SE BROCKENHURST BURLEY ROAD

9/20 The Lodge Hincheslea

Lodge. Mid C19. Red brick with blue brick diapers. Welsh slate roof. T-shaped
plan. 2 storeys. Entrance (south front) 2 bays 1.1 with door with pent roof in
angle. Tudor arched windows with stone key and cast iron lozenge glazing. Arch of
window to left of door has been rebuilt. Dentil band at first floor cill level.
Window in gable to right but not in wall to left. Scalloped barge-boards and
finials to gables. Brick stack at junction of roofs. Some windows on road front.
Single storey lean-to on east. An externally unaltered lodge cottage.
