C16/C17 range altered C18. Adjoining Nos 21 and 22 St John's Street qv. The
entrance of No 22 being on the court side and the 1st bay of range included
in same property. 2 storeys and attic. Timber framed stuccoed and colourwashed.
1st floor oversails on brackets under boxed beam. No 1 and the end bay (part
of No 22 St John's Street) have pilaster strips to upper part. Gable end
pantile roof. No 3 has colourwashed brick ground floor and elevation to the
Churchyard where there are 2 windows to each floor, moulded stone mullioned
casements with C19 lights, 4 on 1st floor 2 on ground floor.
Elevation of range to St John's Court: 2 C19 dormers to Nos 1 and 2. 5 windows
1st floor, 2 light C19 casement to No 22 St John's Street, other windows flush
framed sashes, glazing bars intact. On ground floor: one 3 light casement
(No 22 St John's Street), a small canted bay window with glazing bars, 2 flush
framed sash windows as on 1st floor and 3 doors of 6 panels, flush on No 1,
the others fielded, windows and doors spaced irregularly.

Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and the Liberal Club form part of a group with Nos 1 & 2
St John's Churchyard and Tower Lee, St John's Wallk.
