Built by Thomas Lamb in 1789. On the east side is the date 1789 and the
initials "T.L. 70". Red brick. 3 storeys. 2 windows. Plain front with
a parapet. Doorway up 4 steps in frame with cornice over. Rectangular
fanlight. 6-panel moulded door. The south west corner of the house at
the back suffered bomb damage but is now rebuilt.
All the listed buildings in Mermaid Street form a group.
Also No 1 forms a group with Nos 1,2, The Tower House, Norman House
