Detached cottage. Early C17. Timber-framing with painted brick
nogging, partly rebuilt in rubble stone, thatched roof with brick
stacks to right and to centre. Through passage to rear of stack,
hall to left and former services to right; now parlour. Single-
storey and attic, 2-window. Planked door with gabled canopy to
right of centre, 2-light casement to right and left. Full gabled
attic dormer to left with 2-light casement and carved barge boards
with pendant, eyebrow dormer to right with 4-light casement; all
casements leaded. Right return has 2-light casements. Rear has
planked door to through passage, 2-light casements.
Interior has deep chamfered beams with stepped stops, exposed
joists in parlour to right of passage, large open fireplace with
deeply chamfered lintel, planked doors, west end of roof has curved
wind bracing.
