South aspect. Medieval parish church, rebuilt apart from part of the tower 1887-8 by Bell and Roper of Manchester. Rock face ashlar and ashlar. South porch, battlemented south aisle with 6 crocketed pinnacles, 5 buttresses and 5 three-light windows with alternating designs of flowing tracery. Stair turret. (Photo May 2007).
