Water pump and curved boundary wall, back porch. To the right is the clothes boiler, or copper. This is a brick structure containing a copper cauldron suspended above a fire grate. Used when large quantities of hot water were required for wash day, bath night, or house cleaning. (Photo Sept 2009).
