Malmains Farm, July 1552.

Taken from the Dover to Sandwich road by my mother on her Box Brownie, the day after we moved into the farm house. Visible are pylons of the ropeway that then ran from the Tilmanstone mine to Dover docks. This was out of use, and was dismantled a few months later. In front of the barn can be seen the thatched granary. This sat on staddle stones. It was demolished in 1958.
