Former church school and master's house. 1867, in a Gothic style. Walls of flint
and knapped flint with brick dressings; triangular-shaped quoins, bands at the
level of upper and lower cills, impost of lower arches, cambered arches, plinth: a
large pointed arch above a relieving arch has herring filling to the spandrel,some
stepped buttresses. Steep tile roof, catslide at rear of house, front gable to
half-dormer, rear gabled dormer, richly ornamented bargeboards. Two-storeyed
house, with a hall school at right-angles, the gap between containing a lower
entrance lobby, with a gable above a door, containing a plaque dated 1867. Leaded
casements to the house, plain wood casements to the school. The house has a gabled
porch with enriched bargeboard, elaborate framework in the gable, resting on turned
balusters, on a stone base wall, the door within being boarded. C20 flat roofed
extensions at the rear with brick walls.
