A timber-framed and plastered building probably of C17 origin, refronted in the
C19 and now faced with roughcast. 3 storeys. 4 window range on the Northgate Street
front (2 alternate ranges are blocked) double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The
front to Tower Ramparts is jettied on the 1st storey. The ground storey has a C19
public house front. Roofs tiled, with a double gable on the east front, with sham
timber-framing.
