Terraced houses. c1822, Crown Estate development contemporary with Nash's
Sussex Place. (Regent's Park),q.v. Stock brick with stucco ground floors; slate
roofs. Built back to back with Nos 28 to 30 consec Sussex Place q.v. 3 storeys,
basement and dormered mansards. 2-window wide fronts. Semicircular arched
doorways to left with panelled doors and fanlights (with radial pattern to Nos
38 and 42). Semicircular arched ground floor windows and flat gauged arches to
upper floors; recessed sashes, glazing bars intact (apart from 2 at No 38).
Plat band over ground floor. Stone coped parapet. Front gardens and steps up to
doors. Plain cast iron area railings.
