House, now inn. Front of c.1800, said to have mediaeval core. Coursed
and dressed (rubble) ashlar-type rubble. Cotswold stone roof, rubble
chimney to left, brick chimney to right. 2 storeys and attic. 2 gabled
dormers, simple overlapped cornice to parapet. 2 windows, glazing-bar
sashes, paired to left, wooden lintels on 1st floor, flat arches on ground
floor. Flat arch doorway off-centre right, cellar entry off-centre left.
The external details - overlapped cornice, paired windows are those
commonly associated with the 1st half of the C18 in this area.
