TL 93 SE 3/67 Knowles Farmhouse

Circa 1600 barn. Timber framed with black weatherboarded walls ridged and gabled
thatched roof and fly-hips. High red brick footings in Flemish bond and one
midstrey facing north from west end. Inside, tie-beams formerly arch braced
but now on knees, 2 purlins in each slope with raking-struts, bladed scarfs.
Originally floored at half height and may have been granary.
