Cottage. Early C19, altered and extended later C19 and
1993-94. Stuccoed brickwork, flint with yellow brick quoins,
thatched reed roof with block patterned ridge, and slate roofs
with lead roll hips. Picturesque style.
EXTERIOR: one and two storeys. First floor dug into ground at
rear due to slope of site, rectangular structure with canted
ends. 3 flush-set 12-pane sash windows at front, 2 with
12-pane sashes to rear, broad overhang of thatched roof the
ends of which reflect the polygonal plan. Ground floor front
has remains of channelled rustication, central semicircular
headed window; lean-to 2-storey late C19 extension at right,
large C20 extensions with octagonal pavilion matching form of
original.
INTERIOR: has octagonal first-floor room with modillioned
plaster ceiling cornice.
