Wall adjoining Nos.121-129 (odd)

GV II

Wall, on street frontage of Nos 121-129 Fore Street (qv). Late
C17 or early C18. Orange-red brick, laid to Flemish bond, 2m
high, with projecting buttresses, plat band, and tumbled brick
coping. 4 framed and battened doors inserted after 1984, when
the Christ's Hospital Girls' School vacated the site. The wall
appears to be contemporary with the Entrance Gateway further
east (qv), although separated from it by the Lodge (qv). Its
frontage along Fore Street is approx 50m.
