Three early C19 houses; now with 6 shops to the ground floors,
shop front to No.2 to the left is late C19, others are late
C20. Painted stucco, slate roofs with stacks to party walls of
the original houses, brick to the left, rendered to the right.
Double depth plans.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; each house has 3-window range, except
2-window range to No.2. 3/6-pane sash windows to the 2nd
floors and 6/6-pane sashes to the 1st floors. The late C19
shop front of No.2 has moulded plinths to canted bays, moulded
frames to plate-glass windows and half-glazed door, all with
overlights, continuous heavy modillion cornice to fascia which
forms a porch with a panelled soffit. In the wall above the
shop are 2 niches with statues. No.5 has been connected to a
former house to the rear in Triangle Place.
The mid C19 facade is stucco with a slate roof. 2 storeys;
one-window range. It has a moulded bargeboard to a
shallow-pitched forward-facing gable, raised quoins and gable
band; a semicircular-arched window with a raised surround to
the arch, pilasters, moulded caps and pyramidal moulded
keystone; 2 horizontal panes to each horned sash of the
window. C20 shop below.
