GV II

House. Early C19. Incised stucco, slate roof with a rendered
stack to the right gable end and a tall stack to the left of
the rear wing. Double-depth plan with rear left wing.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Modillion
eaves cornice with paterae to a triglyph frieze. 3/6-pane sash
windows to the 2nd floor, 6/6-panes to the rest. A
ground-floor cornice continued round a Doric prostyle porch
over a 6-panel door with C20 leaded glazing to the upper
panels, overlight with metal segmental arch and radial glazing
bars. The cornice to the porch is now removed.
The left return has a circular window to the gable, a 3/6-pane
sash window to the 2nd floor and a 6/6-pane sash to the 1st
floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: the forecourt is bounded by a painted
roughcast wall approx. 1m high attached to the left corner and
curving to the front. Low gate piers with pyramidal caps.
