House. Mid/late C18, refurbished late C20. Limestone rubble,
formerly roughcast, with brick right-hand gable stack and
stone slate roof. Single room plan with right-angle rear wing.
3 storeys; 1-window range. Timber lintels to a left-hand
doorway with 4-panel door, C19 timber shop front with small
cornice and 4 panes; late C19 horned 2/2-pane first-floor and
hornless 2/2-pane second floor sashes. Lower gabled rear wing
with basement accessed from garden.
INTERIOR: formerly with a through-passage from the doorway
beneath a lateral rear stair, now left-hand dogleg, details
include a chamfered ceiling beams, gabled rear 2-storey
extension has heavy re-used purlins, cellar beneath with
former blocked fireplace.
