A Grade II Listed Building in Bishop Auckland, County Durham

Newton Cap railway Viaduct, January 2018.

Uploader's Comments

Taken during the winter of January 2018, this view of the former Newton Cap Railway Viaduct is looking east from the much older Bishop Skirlaw Bridge. The viaduct now carries the busy A689 route between Bishop Auckland and Weardale, and is an exemplar of converting a railway bridge into a road bridge in the 1990s.
