Stables, outbuildings and house. c1888. By Thomas Harris.
Dressed coursed sandstone with ashlar detailing; plain tile
roof with bellcote, clock tower and louvre; 3 rubble and
ashlar stacks. Courtyard plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys to front; 2 3-light mullion windows with
leaded casements, over carriageway with double-doors; flanked
by towers with moulded bands to shaped gable with enriched
panels; to right, loft door under shaped gable; to left a
3-light casement over a 2-light casement, and advanced wing
with 4- and 3-light casements under shaped gable. House has
open porch with arcade and scrolled pilasters, to plank door
with panelled head. Lead rainwater goods; terracotta
ventilation panels.
Single-storey outbuilding. Single-storey rear ranges with
parapets, shaped gables, and glass-roofed portico; mullion and
transom window with casements and leaded lights; various plank
and double doors. Various wings and lean-tos.
INTERIOR: ornate stable partitions; ironwork; tiled walls.
