Description

SHREWSBURY

SJ4812SE SWAN HILL
653-1/14/623 (South East side)
10/01/53 No.11

GV II

House, part of a terrace of 5 dwellings. Mid C18, enlarged in
the late C18 or early C19. Brick with plain tiled roof.
3-storeyed, 3-window range with doorway to left, a 6-panelled
door with overlight. Windows are 12-pane, flush-framed sashes
with wide cases and flat-arched gauged brick heads, though the
fenestration to the ground floor is interrupted by the
addition of single-storey extensions, concealed by brick walls
to forecourt. The upper storey is added, possibly in the mid
C19, certainly somewhat later than its neighbours. Parapet
eaves, gable end stack.
