GV II

Boundary walls, railing and gateways at old people's homes
(qv). 1921, altered late C20. Red brick, with ashlar and
reconstituted stone dressings. Plain brick walls with sloped
coping, approx 40m long, enclosing a triangular garden west of
the main building. Small gateways near the building.
At the west corner, a concave section with a central gateway.
Rusticated square brick piers with cornice caps, flanked by
walls with ramped coping and similar end piers. Central pair
of wrought-iron gates. To west, a wrought-iron spiked railing,
with 2 gates with openwork piers, enclosing a semicircular
plot containing a war memorial.
