House. Early C18, incorporating elements of an earlier
building on the site, and extensively restored C20. Brick with
plain tiled roof and some internal timbering.
Main elevation faces south: 2 storeys with attic, 2-window
range beneath wide gable partially rebuilt. French windows to
ground floor, 12-pane sashes above, and 2-light casements in
attic. Side entrance. Narrower gable to right with single
window to each floor forms flying freehold over part of No.10
College Hill (qv). Axial stack.
INTERIOR: wide entrance hall runs the length of the rear of
the house, with early C18 staircase with turned balusters and
closed string. Late C18 marble Adam-style fireplace in one
ground-floor room. Extensive remains of earlier timber frame
largely re-sited and forming present roof structure, including
one deeply moulded possibly C16 beam. 2 painted plaster panels
