Caretaker's house at Carter Knowle
Junior School

School caretaker's house. 1906, with late C20 alterations. By
Holmes & Watson. For the Sheffield Education Committee.
Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof
with large gable and side wall stacks. Arts and Crafts style.
2 storeys plus garrets; 2 window range. Coped facing gable
with shouldered segmental pediment. Single reglazed window to
left and double window to right. Above, double composite sash
to garret. Below, late C20 glazed door and overlight to left,
and reglazed canted bay window with hipped roof to right. Left
return has a large box dormer with original 3-light casement.
INTERIOR not inspected.
An ancillary building to Carter Knowle Junior School (qv).
Included for group value.
