GV II

Church school, now Sikh temple. Dated 1841, probably by HI
Stevens. Altered late C20. Red brick, with painted ashlar
dressings and patterned tile roof. 2 square ridge stacks with
multiple flues. Tudor Revival style.
Plinth, moulded eaves, coped gables with kneelers and finials.
Single storeys and 2 storeys; 8 window range. Cruciform plan.
Windows are mainly casements, with stone mullions, transoms
and surrounds.
Central projection, 2 storeys, has a gabled porch with pointed
arched board door flanked by single mullioned windows. Above,
a large datestone, 1841. Returns have projecting gables with a
single ground floor window, that to left altered, and a
mullioned window above. Beyond, a window, then a door, that to
right blocked.
Main block has 4 cross mullioned windows to left. To right, 3
similar windows, then a projecting wing, single storey, 2
windows. Front gable has 2 cross mullioned windows divided by
a buttress.
