Lodge, now house, and attached archway. 1856. By TC Hine of Nottingham. White brick, with red and blue brick, ashlar and stucco dressings. Slate roofs. To left, spanning Castle Grove, a double chamfered segmental carriage arch. Stepped gable with moulded coping topped by a ball finial. Small chamfered datestone, 1856. This building was part of TC Hines earliest phase of the development of the Castle Park for the Duke of Newcastle. (Photo Sept 2014).
