War memorial at south entrance to
Nottingham High School

GV II

War memorial. c1920. Rockfaced Bulwell stone, Portland stone
ashlar, bronze figure and plaques. Life-size figure of a
junior officer in battle equipment, on a square pedestal with
cornice and moulded base. Scrolled crest and inscription at
the front, bronze plaques on the other sides. Lobed base, 3
steps. The memorial is set on a semicircular platform with
central ashlar steps and rock-faced stone retaining walls with
chamfered coping.
