House, attached to rear of Royal Crescent, Esplanade (qv), and
with gable end to Crescent Street. Mid C19. Rendered, slate
roof. In 2 parts; to the left a narrow range to raised coped
gables and plain eaves, and to the right a broad range to
plain parapet covering a hipped roof, extended right with
false parapet to a lower section.
2 storeys, 1+2 windows; all plain sashes, but one 12-pane sash
at first floor, right. The narrow front has paired sashes to
cambered heads and stone sills, at each level, and the main
unit has 2-storey canted bays with ogee-curved hipped
cappings, and panelled apron between the floors. Between the
bays, under a tent hood on trellis cheeks is a 6-panel fielded
door with narrow transom light. Ground floor is channelled,
and returns to Crescent Street with a chamfered corner to a
corbel. Brick stacks to the left gable, and right of the
hipped roof.
