Pair of houses in row. c1800-1810 (RCHME). Rough rendered,
slate roof.
A handed pair with full-height flat bows to the centre, in 2
storeys and attic, each 2 windows; No.33 has 2 Victorian
gabled dormers with sashes, under deep projecting modelled
barge-boards with finials, and No.34 has 2 flat-roofed dormers
with a 4- and a 6-pane sash. At first floor each has a 12-pane
sash in plain reveals, then 16-pane curved sashes in reveals
in the bows with solid cheeks, at each level.
Each has a glazed C20 door with fanlight, plus, to a
throughway, a C19 plank door with blank fanlight. Plinth,
first-floor sill band, moulded cornice carried round the bows,
blocking course and parapet. The mansard roof has a large
central ridge stack, rendered.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
A good pair with minimal external change, built on land behind
the Royal Crescent, Esplanade (qv).
