C16 building with additions of early C17 and early C19. Main garden front: at
left a 2-bay section of one storey and attic, very irregular with C19 casements.
Timber framed with brick covered ground floor, tile hung 1st floor and tiled roof
of high pitch with left end chimney. At right a wide and a narrow bay, of C17
and C19 respectively, both stuccoed and with tiled roofs. All 1st floor windows
break eaves but they vary in height and there is a gable over the right one. Chimney
to right of C17 bay, rebuilt outside but with older brick and stone inside. A
little exposed framing on garden front, mostly concealed by C19 outshots. Inside
much exposed timber with square framing, swell-head posts, plenty of carpenter's
marks, and a side-purlin roof with wind braces and queen-post trusses.
