Substantial C16 farmhouse. 2 storeys, 4 windows on main front. High pitched
tiled roof, half hipped at right. 2 tall brick compound stacks, perhaps early
C17. Tile hung 1st floor. Visible timber framing, with brick filling, on ground
floor. Some C18 iron casements, some C19 and modern square paned casements.
Small 1 1/2 storey pent outshot at left, timber framed with plaster filling. Roof
sweeps very low at back. Modern gabled dormand eyebrow window inserted.
Inside large inglenook under flattened Tudor arched beam and another smaller;
also half octagonal brick fireplace upstairs, and another blocked. Many heavy
chamfered beams and old floors. Old window with diagonal wood mullions. Old
newel staircase to attic where side-purlin roof has wind braces.
