"Mount Zion". 1815, one storey Methodist New Connexion Chapel. Sandstone "brick" with
flush quoins. Stone slate roof with coped gable ends. Shallow pediment gable over cent
surmounted by bellcote. Round headed windows with glazing bars radiating to arch. Good
engraved stone sundial. Bowed projection for organ loft to rear. Interior refurbished
1881 with radial seating focused on pulpit, by Leaming and Leaming architects of Halifax.
Good hamlet setting set back from road in burial ground with early C19 and later headstone
and tomslabs.
