This plaque placed on 67-69,Westgate, and referring also its neighbour, 65, Westgate. (Listed as 65, White Horse Yard), are the country’s oldest surviving purpose built banks.
John Bacchus Dykes, the hymnist, also lived here while studying in Wakefield.
