C18. 3 storey, brick headers, ashlar stone projecting plinth, moulded stone
modillion cornice returned round corners, triglyph flutings on front, plain
brick parapet with stone coping, hipped old tile roof. 5 windows on upper
floors.
4 windows and central door on ground floor. All windows have fluted and reeded
stone keystones and moulded stone cills. Ground floor windows have shutters,
each shutter 3 flush panels.
Central 8-panelled door with arched fanlight of radiating ovals - both slightly
recessed with small triple keystone and moulded string at springing of arch.
Flanked by engaged Roman Doric Columns on moulded plinths, broken triglyph
entablature and open modillion pediment. Rainwater head dated 1782.
Interior has good staircase, open string, moulded swept handrail, scrolled
spandrels, plain balusters, newel posts consist of a cluster of 4 turned and
moulded shafts. 2 good fireplaces.
Nos 44 to 74 (even) and Nos 78 to 82 (even) form a fine group.
