C16 basically but extensively altered and rebuilt in C19 and modern times. Three
storeys, four windows, mostly modern but some C18 sashes. Considerably altered
and restored overhanging timber front with one gable. Carved work at 1st floor
level is not convincing, and centre part of front and ground floor treatment appear
quite recent. Slate roof. Said to have been frequented by Sir Francis Drake.
