Circa 1840 one building. Three storeys cement rendered, flanked by
incised panelled-pilasters, band between storeys. Slate roof concealed
by high parapet with terminal piers and three panels, in line with window
bays with small pediments above. Triglyph frieze with guttae and moulded
cornice. Recessed blind bay to South with cornice and bands carried
over but with low parapet. Three windows. Second floor recessed sash,
later glazing bars, architrave surrounds carried up to frieze, block sills.
The centre window is lower. On first floor central recessed window, no
architrave surround. To left and right, flat fronted bows of three lights,
sash, some glazing bars in side lights. Doric pilasters, frieze and
cornice breaking forward slightly to front, apron to right hand window.
Modern shop fronts, but one rusticated pilaster remains. The ground floor
of blind bay has a recessed round headed plank door with cast iron gate
against it, flanked by their Doric pilasters, architrave arch. Above is
an incised panel the lower part curving with the doorhead.

The Royal Victoria Arcade and Nos 58 to 62 (consec) form a group.
