Early Cl7 timber-framer and plastered house on an L-shaped plan and originally
moated but two of the arms of the moat are now filled in. Two storeys.
There is a gabled cross wing at the west end and the upper storey projects
slightly on the front. The windows are mainly casements. There is a single
storey bay on the front with double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Modern
porch. Roof tiled, with an original central chimney stack with diagonal
shafts. The interior has 2 original fireplaces. (RCHM 22).
