Cottage. Probably late C18. Local stone rubble; plain clay tile roof with simple gables; brick end chimney stacks, 2
storeys, 2 bays. Small pane 2-light casement windows in plain openings; between bays a stable-type boarded door under
timber bracketted hood with pitched metal covered roof. Lean-to against East gable, with glazed boarded door.
Interior not seen, but said to be little altered - makes good pair with Upper Hook Cottage adjoining to West gable
(qv).
