Formerly 2 gamekeepers cottages now a house: c.1815 for Sir J T
Stanley with some C20 alterations. Tooled ashlar pink sandstone,
stone-coped, Welsh slate roof, stone ridge and 2 gable stone chimneys.
Rectangular plan. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. Projecting band
at ground storey sill level. 3-light chamfered' stone-mullioned
windows with iron casements with applied lead glazing. Central
stone-coped gabled porch has cambered stone head to entrance now
containing glazed doors. Similar doorcase behind with 5-board door.
Interior: 4-board doors with simple iron latches, exposed sawn pine
beams. 2 original fireplaces reported upstairs.

Identical masonry and windows to extension of the Old School, Nether
Alderley (q.v.) dated 1817.
