A Grade I Listed Building in Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire

Wotton House, Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire - Langley Bradley's clock

Uploader's Comments

Langley Bradley was a well known London clockmaker, also commissioned by Christopher Wren in 1707 to provide the original clock in the south-west tower of St Paul's cathedral, and later, the courtyard clock at Hampton Court.
Coincidentally, the intricately carved door head in the garden (West) front of the main house has been tentatively attributed, though not conclusively to Wren, which could explain the involvement of a very high profile London clockmaker at Wotton House.
