House and shop with rear warehouse. Early-mid C19, extended to
rear, altered late C19. Flemish bond brickwork with brick
lateral stacks and hipped Welsh slate roof. L-plan with late
C19 rear right wing.
3 storeys; 3-window range, 3-window side range. A very fine
late C19 shop front returns to right-hand side: moulded
cast-iron columns to a fascia, curved plate-glass windows with
thin mullions. Gauged brick flat arches over plate-glass
first-floor and second-floor 3/3-pane sashes. Right-hand
2-window return with gauged brick arches over sashes; taller
2-window rear section has a rear 10/10-pane sash, and rear
warehouse range set back behind with 2:3 windows with
segmental-arched openings and hoist bays to the middle pair, a
straight joint between the sections. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached rear wall enclosing yard in
front of the warehouse.
The shop front is a notable example.
