Tower House
II
House, now office. Mid C19. Stucco with stucco stacks and a
slate hipped roof. Double-depth plan. Double-fronted with
pilaster strips and central bay set forward, and a square
crenellated tower projecting through the ridge with lozenges
above the cornice and round-arched windows. A distyle porch
with bases and cornice to a half-glazed 6-panel door;
ground-floor windows have casements with margin bars and
small-paned window above transoms; first-floor outer 8/8-pane
and central 6/6-pane sashes. INTERIOR not inspected.
An unusual Late Georgian house, distinguished by its central
tower.
