at TL 3481 1390

GV II

Bridge, one of a series of prefabricated bridges over the New
River. 1816, formed of cast-iron arch girders, with perforated
spandrels, ornamental keystones, with date, with convex
chordal profile, span approx 4.5m. Inscribed `New River Co.',
`Priestfield Ironworks near Bilston' (Staffordshire). Arches
set between brick abutments. Outer arches carry cast-iron post
and rail handrails.
