19.11.51 stocks (formerly listed
as Market Cross and Stocks)

Cross base and stocks. C14 and C18. Limestone ashlar and
timber. Square base, with 3 steps to base of cross only. To the
south are set the wooden stocks, 2 posts and a panel containing 2
sets of holes. Swineshead weekly market was of great importance
until the seventeenth century and an annual October fair is still
held.
