_ Swift Place Farmhouse

Barn. Early C18. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. Quoins. Segmental
arched cart entry has voussoirs with stop chamfered surround and 5-pointed star
incised on the southern skewback. Key stone is inscribed "17 H 14" partly
E S
obscured by metal guttering. Inner porch set within a portal of aisle with
similar arched entry and doorways with chamfered surrounds set within the re-
entrant angle. To right of entry 2-light chamfered mullioned window with
chamfered light to left of mistal doorway at lower end with Tudor arched lintel
and stop chamfered surround. Right hand return wall has kneelers and arched
ventilators with owl-hole to apex. Rear has segmental arched cart entry with
skewbacks and mistal doorway with quoined lintel and chamfered jambs.

Interior: 4 bays with queen'post roof.
