Water mill. Probably early C19 with watershed and machinery of 1839, and
C20 alterations. Whitewashed brick, plain tile and interlocking tile roofs
brick stacks. T-shaped plan; main building aligned north-south facing east
with watershed wing to rear. Central 3-storey, 3-bay gabled block with C20
top opening windows in original openings with segmental heads; toothed band
above second floor windows, central door and central boarded loft door with
hoist over. Flanking 2-storey, 3-bay wings each with toothed eaves band and central pediment and C20 gabled porch. Left hand wing has blind semi-
circular arch windows to first floor and blind lunette to pediment;
otherwise C20 windows. The upper parts of the right hand wing have been
partly rebuilt in the C20. Gable of right hand wing has blocked semi-
circular carriage arch springing from imposts with raised key; blind
lunette above. Interior Eight-spoke cast iron breast-shot water wheel in
water shed to rear. Chamfered ceiling beams.
