One of former pair, or end of terrace, town house. c. 1830-40.
Stucco, slate roof. 3 storeys with 2 later top floors, basement and
dormered mansard. 3 windows wide. Architraved doorway up steps to
left. Recessed plate glass sashes, those on 1st floor with pediments
on consoles. Main entablature, with modillion and dentil cornice,
above 2nd floor. The top floor addition is pilastered and finished
off with balustraded parapet. Asymmetrically windowed south return
with altered bow window. Stucco balustraded balcony to 1st floor.
Cast iron area railings. G.L.C. plaque to W.H. Smith. Part of the
post 1827 development of Tyburnia on the Bishop of London's Estate.
