metres to north west of west tower
of Church of St Martin
GV II
Tombchest. 1711 in memory of Walter Holkyn, Yeoman, who died in 1711. Stone rubble
chest, partly collapsed. Rectangular slate lid inscribed in upper and lower case
lettering with serifs and in script. Marginal inscription with intricate carved band
in shallow relief around central panel.
The lid has been broken into two pieces but is complete.
